Electromagnetic locks consist of a traction magnet
coil (stator) and a magnetic plate (armature - sometimes called a
strike plate). The stator is fixed rigidly to the door header or
gate post. The armature is fixed to the door or gate using steel
sex bolts and roll pins providing automatic self alignment with the
stator. The door or gate is secured when closed and the stator energized.
The holding force depends upon the size of lock selected. |
