Transverse flux technology is over one hundred
years old. W. M. Morday applied for the first patent in1895. Today
scientists at several universities are researching this technology.
Most companies do not consider using this concept because the machines
are so difficult to design and manufacture. 3-D finite element magnetic,
structural, and thermal analysis is required to develop practical
machines. Jackson Research has mastered this technology and offers
cost effective solutions. Typical applications require 220 VAC 3-phase
2kW motors. Mobile generator units are frequently operated at 48
VAC. |
